Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’ve just been diagnosed, the most important things are to learn safe weight training, balance, and posture exercises. That’s exactly what I teach in my Strong Women, Strong Bones Jumpstart. You’ll learn what to avoid, what to focus on, and how to move with confidence. Be sure to join my email list so you don’t miss the next start date.

  • Yes! Many women who join Strong Women, Strong Bones have never picked up a weight before. I teach you step by step how to lift safely, what exercises to avoid, and how to build strength at your own pace. You don’t need to be fit to start — you just need the willingness to begin.

  • No fancy gym is required. You’ll need a pair of small hand weights (dumbbells), a yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, a blanket and comfortable sneakers. Most women start with what they already have at home and adjust as they get stronger. I’ll guide you on how to safely use your equipment, and I always give options if you’re starting light.

  • Thank you for your purchase.

All of my recorded classes are on a platform called Punchpass. You can go directly to Punchpass and login, or you can go to the HOME page of this website and click the button that says “Access Punchpass - Classes and Content Library Here.” Be sure to log in to access all of your content.

  • Here’s the truth: no program can promise an increase in bone density. But research is clear that strength training and balance exercises reduce your risk of falls and fractures, help maintain bone health, and may even improve bone density. What you can count on is becoming stronger, steadier, and more confident in your exercise program and your body.

  • Many women who join my classes have some arthritis, stiffness, or balance concerns. I design every session with modifications so you can move in ways that feel good for your body. That said, it’s important that you’re able to get up and down from the floor at least once (even if you need to hold onto a chair or something sturdy for support). If you can do that, you’ll be able to participate successfully and build strength safely. And of course, I always encourage you to listen to your body and check with your physician before starting a new exercise program.

  • No! Every class is recorded and delivered right to your inbox. You can watch the replay whenever it fits your schedule. Many women travel, volunteer, or care for family — and they love the flexibility of being able to keep up with class on their own time. Wednesdays are good days to catch up if needed, as there are no live classes on Wednesdays.

  • Yes, the Jumpstart only opens a few times a year. If you missed the deadline, the best next step is to join the waitlist — you’ll be first to know when doors open, and you’ll also get access to bone health tips while you wait. Or sign up for my newsletter, where I also share upcoming programs and educational tips.

  • Right now, I focus my energy on group programs rather than one-on-one sessions. This allows me to give you more value, community support, and consistent accountability. I’d love to see you in the next Jumpstart!
