Testimonials

I joined Andrea’s Jump Start class in January 2022, and then transitioned to join her class of “regulars”. I had a DEXA scan in November 2022 and had improvement in my hip and femoral neck, and my spine T score stayed the same.

I no longer have osteopenia!

I did not change my diet and I did not take supplements, the only thing I did differently during the year between DEXA scans was to follow Andrea’s Strong Women classes. I am going to keep taking Andrea’s classes: I know that the exercises are safe for my bones, and I want to improve my bone density even more!

One of my retirement goals was to go on a women’s adventure trip on my own and this has been very successful. I traveled solo to Croatia and Switzerland.

My goal is to keep increasing my strength, balance, endurance, and overall fitness level to travel as long as I am physically and mentally able.

Last summer I hiked in Switzerland and had an amazing time. In June I am hiking to Machu Picchu, which will be a stretch for me. In September I am hiking in Ireland.

Working with Andrea is helping to increase my strength, balance, and confidence to achieve my goals.

I want to give a little testimonial, not nearly as impressive as the stopping, even reversing, bone loss (WOW!) but kind of amazing to me.

I have found my ABs in recent months.
Don’t laugh! Well, you may laugh as it’s funny too, but for decades (ever since childbirth years, and that was 40 ish years ago) I have been active, walking, hiking, gardening, and swimming sometimes, all without having made a stitch of difference in the apparent activity or inactivity of my ab muscles.

All of a sudden, there they are! NOT a six-pack, not at all, but I can feel them contracting, in all their various aspects: vertical rectus, diagonal obliques. Wow!

I am sure that the wide variety of exercises, plus weights, is the secret. Those abs are being activated in lots of different ways, and have nowhere to hide.

Thanks, my friend!

Andrea’s classes are just the right pace and content for my body. I appreciate that they are always well-rounded—some part of the anatomy gets special attention in every class. Because of her PT knowledge, I am confident that her classes are safe for my low-back osteoporosis and elderly joints.

I love Andrea’s classes because as a Physical Therapist, she knows how to keep me from injuring myself during workouts. And it’s fun and short!
